Earlier this week, it was announced that the Fast & Furious Supercharged at Universal Studios Hollywood will be closing on March 10th, 2025.
What Was Fast & Furious Supercharged?
Fast & Furious Supercharged is a segment of the tram tour at Universal Studios Hollywood. The segment replaced Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb in 2015.

The segment lasts around 5 minutes and acts as the tram tour’s finale at the park. Located within a 400-foot-long tunnel, it features 360-degree wrap-around screens and other immersive elements.
What is Replacing Fast & Furious Supercharged?
Universal is planning on keeping the franchise in the park, as they are currently building Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift in the park, which they stated is to open in 2026. This is Universal Studios Hollywood’s first-ever high-speed outdoor roller coaster.

As for the segment of the Backlot Studio Tour that has Supercharged, they plan on replacing it with “a thrilling new experience” with more details coming soon. In the meantime, the tour (typically 45-60 minutes) might be a bit shorter.
