Dinoland USA construction continues, and Disney continues to spare no expense. Fencing around the former Primeval Whirl location has come down. Additionally, a lot of the game stands in the back of the park have been removed.

We were able to find an area to find a higher vantage point this week. This week, we can see that they also removed around half of the Triceratops Spin arms from the attraction. The entrance marquee sign and DinoSue still remain for now.

Dinoland USA opened with the park on April 22, 1998. The two attractions within Chester and Hester’s Dino Rama did not, though. Primeval Whirl opened in March of 2002, and TriceraTop Spin opened in November of 2001. This area of Dinoland has now closed to make way for the new land Pueblo Esperanza, which will have a new carousel and an Encanto attraction.

Dinosaur, The Boneyard (kids’ play area), Trilo-Bites (outdoor food stand), and Restaurantosaurus (restaurant) haven’t announced their actual closing dates yet, but they too will be closing soon. We do know that Dinosaur won’t be closing this year.

Stay tuned for next week as we will continue to post updates as construction continues!
