Virtual queues will be a thing of the past at Walt Disney World (at least for now). Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will no longer have a virtual queue starting February 25th, 2025. This ride, which has been open for almost three years, will finally be able to operate without a virtual queue.
Will Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Be Open For Early Entry?

Yes, Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind will offer early entry to resort guests. At Walt Disney World, all four parks open 30 minutes early every day for resort guests. Disney has confirmed in their post about the removal of the virtual queue that the ride will be accessible to resort guests during this time every morning.
Where Will The Cosmic Rewind Standby Line Go?

One of the significant challenges in removing the virtual queue from Guardians of The Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is the limited queue space available. Without sufficient queue space, the line can only reasonably expect a 50-minute wait within the building before overflowing into the surrounding area.

Disney attempted to address this issue by constructing an outdoor covered extended queue to the left of the building. However, Disney has not explicitly stated whether additional queue space will be added to the outdoor queue. Nevertheless, we anticipate that there will be.
No More Virtual Queues at Walt Disney World!

In the announcement, Disney also mentioned that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be removing its virtual queue from Magic Kingdom on February 25th. It’s been a long time since Walt Disney World operated without virtual queues. Disney introduced them when Star Wars: Rise of The Resistance opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on December 3rd, 2019.
