The end is near for the Tree of Life Theaters’ first show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It’s Tough to Be a Bug will be permanently closed on March 17th, 2025.
The last day to check out the attraction will be March 16th, 2025. It’s Tough to Be a Bug is one of the still-standing opening-day attractions at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
It’s Tough to be a Bug is a 4D theatre attraction that requires 3D glasses and features some really cool animatronics. Flick and many other of the Circus Bugs are throughout the show, making for a very immersive experience.
On a more personal anecdote, I will say I am not going to miss the show too much. As a child, this attraction terrified me and, like many children, made me cry.
The show is being replaced by a newer IP: Zootopia. The new show is called Zootopia: Better Together and Disney has said the show will debut in winter 2025.
