Today, we got announcements for Legoland Florida and Legoland California’s New for 2026 space themed indoor roller coaster for both parks!
These are expected to be coming to both Legoland California and Florida in 2026. Merlin Entertainment said in thier press release this morning:
“Merlin Entertainments, a global leader in branded entertainment destinations, has today unveiled the first details of the space-themed experiences being developed at its LEGOLAND Resorts in Florida and California, including groundbreaking indoor rollercoasters. This marks the next milestone in the £70 million investment already announced for the two resorts.
The news, which closely follows the official opening of the 11th LEGOLAND Resort in Shanghai in early July, demonstrates Merlin’s continued commitment to bringing the LEGO® brand to life, at scale, through innovative new formats across its estate. It also reflects the business’ broader strategy of working with the owners of leading, global brands to bring them to life through memorable experiences and investing to premiumise its existing estate, with a focus on priority attractions with the greatest potential for growth.
Families will be invited to travel together into the LEGO galaxy packed with adventure, including immersive indoor rollercoasters in both Florida and California. These are set to be the most technologically advanced attractions the Resorts have ever created, brought to life by Merlin Magic Making’s global team of designers and engineers, in close collaboration with the LEGO Group.”
Legoland Florida: Spaceport 886 Indoor Roller Coaster!
Details are avalible on each parks respective site. Legoland Florida describes the indoor roller coaster:
“Get ready to blast off! In early 2026, LEGOLAND® Florida Resort is launching an all-new space-themed experience featuring our most technologically advanced indoor coaster ever — a fully immersive mission from liftoff to landing.
Brace yourselves for a thrilling, family-friendly roller coaster that will send you soaring through an uncharted galaxy, blasting off from the LEGOLAND SPACEPORT 886 launchpad, named in homage to one of the original LEGO® Space Buggy sets, #886.”
Legoland California: An Entierly New Space Themed Land!
Included with the new space themed indoor roller coaster, Legoland California is getting an additional land expansion to go along with it! Legoland California’s site reads:
“Get ready for liftoff! LEGOLAND® California Resort is charting a course for an out-of-this-world adventure with a brand-new, immersive, space-themed land set to launch in early 2026 featuring a groundbreaking indoor roller coaster!
More details about this stellar expansion, including specific ride names and grand opening, will be shared as the 2026 launch approaches.”
