Rumors are starting to spread about this year’s Halloween events at parks across the Six Flags chain. It sounds like things could get more expensive at Carowinds in Charlotte, North Carolina.

In the past, Cedar Fair parks like Carowinds included all scare zones, haunted houses, and mazes with regular admission to SCarowinds. But now, the newly merged Six Flags chain may start charging guests separately to enter the houses (pay to experience haunted houses).
How Much Will The Pay To Experience Haunted Houses Cost Guests At Scarowinds?
You might not be as scared at Carowinds this Halloween if you skip the pay to experience haunted houses, but your wallet might be if you decide to indulge. If this follows what’s happened at other parks in the chain, an all-access pass could cost up to $40 per visit. Combined with regular admission, a single night might cost more than $80.
This is still just a rumor, but it wouldn’t be surprising. Six Flags has been working to make the parks feel more alike. The days of competition between parks seem to be fading, and this could be one of the results.
This possible change comes after Six Flags will be removing Winterfest from some of thier parks this holiday season as well. Check out our article on that here!
