The Swiss Family Treehouse closed on November 18th, 2024, at Magic Kingdom for what was supposed to be a single-month refurbishment. In December, most of the attraction did reopen, but the scrim remained, and part of the walkthrough remained closed to guests. Today, we saw that part of the attraction has re-opened that was closed earlier this month.
Upper Section of Swiss Family Treehouse Re-opens After Multi-Month Refurbishment

The upper section of the treehouse got some love. The sign inside the room appears to have gotten a fresh coat of paint, and the rest of the room looks in better shape than much of the rest of the attraction.

There has been a section of scrim removed as well. The view above is the opposite view we had in the last update. Below is a photo from the last update when there was a scrim in this area of the attraction.

Still, even with the top section of the tree reopened, there is still a scrim around the water wheel and other water features of the attraction. Hopefully, they will be back in working order when that final part of the Swiss Family Treehouse reopens.

There’s no timeline for when the Swiss Family Treehouse will be back in working order at the Magic Kingdom. Check out our last update here!
