Pteranodon Flyers Reopens At Universal Islands of Adventure After Almost A Year’s Closure

If you’re a family visiting Universal Islands of Adventure anytime soon, then you’ll be happy to hear that Pteranodon Flyers has reopened at the park!

Unexpected Closure of Pteranodon Flyers

The ride closed in mid-April 2024 due to some technical issues with the attraction. Just shy of 10 months after the ride closed, it reopened on February 21, 2025.

Universal did not make any official announcements regarding the reopening; the ride simply resumed operations, much to the surprise of park guests.
